This is not really an effective way to market. Unless people signed up to receive emails from you, 99.99999% will not care. It will just end up in people’s "bulk mail" folders, where nobody will ever see it, and it will train major email services like yahoo and gmail, etc that you are a spammer so that in the future, personal and well-targeted emails that you send will end up in "bulk mail"

If you really want to do it, by law you have to provide your company information (name, street address, etc) in the email. You also have to provide a way for people to "opt-out" — you have to keep the list of people who opted out, and you can’t email them again. If you deal with a legitimate email blast company, they request existing opt-out lists from you.

As a matter of fact, you could get in big trouble with SPAM laws, which could set you up for lawsuits and fines.

Granted, there are a lot of people out there breaking the law (at least as evidenced by the amount of SPAM I get), but I recommend considering some different ways to get your message out.

Sending business newsletter/email marketing letter to thousands of people…ILLEGAL??
I want to market my company online, and I have gathered thousands of email ids from search engines.

Now I want to send them my company info, what I do and link to my website if they are interested to visit.

Is that ILLEGAL for any reason??

Can I have your email? I want to send you the email that I want to send to mass email ids. My plan is to get traffic to my website by increasing my page visitors. Nothing else.

It contains my real address with phone number and business info. Basically I am in web/graphic design business.
